Zimbabwe MapZimbabwe is landlocked and more or less three times the size of England. It consists of the highveld and the middleveld plateaus which are between 900 and 1700 m above sea level. Running northeast is a low ridge to the southwest across the country and marks the divide between the Zambezi and Limpopo-Save River systems. The northwest plateaus are characterized by bushveld. The lowveld is hot and dry and slopes down towards the Limpopo River. The Eastern Highlands is mostly mountainous, which creates the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border. The highest peak at 2592m is Nyangani near the northern end of the Eastern Highlands.
