Itinerary departing Johannesburg

Day 1 - Sunday
Arrival Johannesburg Internation Airport. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 - Monday
Depart Johannesburg after breakfast for Mpumalanga Province. Scenery includes Blyde River Canyon and God's Window.[BD]

Day 3 - Tuesday
Early morning game drive in Kruger National Park with packed breakfast. Search for 'Big Five'. Enjoy prolific birdlife and numerous other game. Afternoon at leisure at hotel. Late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available. (optional and for own account). [BD]

Day 4 - Wednesday
Early morning coffee or tea. Depart on open vehicle game drive through Kruger National Park with pre-packed breakfast. Return to hotel for afternoon. Late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available. (optional and for own account)

Day 5 - Thursday
Early breakfast, travel to Swaziland and visit glass factory. Check in at hotel. Late afternoon at leisure, or visit a nearby craft market.
Overnight in Swaziland. [BD]

Day 6 - Friday
After breakfast, visit Swazi candle factory. Re-enter South Africa. Arrive at traditional Zulu village for lunch and show displaying local culture.
Travel to Hluhluwe for dinner and overnight. [FB]

Day 7 - Saturday
Last opportunity for game drive before continuing to Durban. Arrive in Durban early afternoon.

Day 8 - Sunday
Day at leisure in Durban (unescorted). Opportunity for optional Day Excursion (own account).

Day 9 - Monday
Transfer for Port Elizabeth flight. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Remainder of day at leisure. Overnight in Port Elizabeth. [BD]

Day 10 - Tuesday
Depart for Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. Afternoon at leisure at hotel. Overnight Knysa.[B]

Day 11 - Wednesday
Leisurely start. Lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride to top of Western Head, and walk back through milkwood trees for lunch.

Day 12 - Thursday
Travel over Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Visit Ostrich Farm(guided). Tour vast limestone Cango Caves.

Day 13 - Friday
Breakfast. Travel Route 62 via the 'Klein Karoo' and Montagu to Cape Town, arrive late afternoon.[B]

Day 14 - Saturday
Full day at leisure. Opportunity for optional Day Excursion (own account).

Day 15 - Sunday
Full day at leisure. Opportunity for optional Day Excursion (own account).

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Please ensure you are in possession of the correct travel documents (passports, visas etc) for travel to Southern Africa. At least two blank pages are required in all passports for South African entry and passports must be valid for at least 6 months from date of arrival.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

PRECAUTIONS AGAINST MALARIA ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Please consult with your personal physician regarding Malaria prophylaxis as well as advice regarding other inoculations for the countries you will be visiting.
